Will I lose my licence?

If you have been charged with a driving offence it is very likely that your licence is at risk. Many driving offences carry a mandatory period of licence loss. This means that if you are found guilty of any of these offences the court must cancel your licence for a set period of time.

Even if no mandatory licence loss period applies, the Court still has a discretion to cancel or suspend your licence as it considers appropriate.

In addition to licence loss, driving offences attract significant financial penalties. If you have prior convictions for similar offending you may also be at risk of imprisonment.

For these reasons it is important to take driving charges seriously and engage an expert traffic lawyer at the earliest opportunity.
